Les Pitxorines

In January 2024, they recorded their first album “Un so qui no es gasta” (A sound that doesn’t wear out), which was released by Produccions Blau. The album was financed through crowdfunding on the Verkami platform, achieving its goal in just one week with a high level of participation and success. The recording includes nine songs that they have arranged with their personal touch, respecting the essence of the lyrics and melodies while adding their own modern and fresh style. It was recorded, mixed and mastered by Jaume Blàzquez and features musical production and arrangements by the group’s own members. Alongside the release of the new album, they will showcase a new, more dynamic live performance with updated costumes designed by Bàrbara Nicolau and Marga Salas.

Les Pitxorines
The word "Pitxorina" means "young, cheerful and lively girl," a term from Mallorcan dialect that is not commonly used anymore, especially in the eastern part of Mallorca. Pitxorines is a musical group formed in January 2023 by nine young Mallorcan girls. It is born from the desire to share the music of the traditional Mallorcan songbook and give it a fresh twist with their own arrangements, incorporating elements inspired by the music they have drawn from: traditional, jazz and classical.
